STEM Challenge 2017-UHCL

From UHCL:

We would like to inform you about the STEM Challenge 2017 ( ) that UHCL is hosting on Saturday, April 8, 2017.

The purpose of this challenge is to engage and stimulate the interest of our younger generation and to overcome their insecurities about STEM fields, so that they pursue STEM careers.

To this end, we have put together STEM Challenge 2017 that is going to be fun and exciting.

Our goal is to make problem solving fun, engaging and inspiring. Last year we had students ranging from 8th grade to undergraduates partaking in the event.

We had many prizes, ranging from internships to scholarships, and robotics kits, Amazon Fire TV’s, Solid State 1TB drives, restaurant gift certificates and many more.

Winners will receive many prizes including scholarships to UHCL and summer internships.

The event will be held at UHCL on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 8am2pm. Lunch will be provided. Registration will open closer to the date.

We would like to extend an invitation to your students to “Save the Date” to take part in this challenge for a fun day with friends, with an opportunity to win many great prizes. More information can be found at

We look forward to seeing you and your students on the 8th. Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have.

Thank you,
