Dear Clear Springs High School Families,

As the school year approaches, I would like to ensure that our school community is aware of the drop-off and pick-up locations at Clear Springs High School.  (This information will be reviewed at our upcoming Freshman Orientation as well.)  If you were here last year, the process is the same.

Remember that traffic may be heavier in our parking lot the first couple of weeks of school.  Arrival and dismissal times will be especially congested until everyone gets in a routine. 

Student safety is a top priority at Clear Springs High School.  We continue to work toward the safest and best way for the traffic flow pattern to help our buses, student drivers and students dropped off at the campus flow smoothly.

Please ensure that when pulling onto the campus you adhere to the 10 mph speed limit.  We have a number of student drivers.  As you know our campus has one entrance.  Our pattern continues to be a left-hand circle into and out of the campus.  Parent drop off is in the same location, but a wider zone, and from two continuous drop off lanes near the front of the school. We are asking that everyone please be watchful of our staff and students who are entering/exiting the building.  Please leave early to support your travel.  Please pay close attention to the signage when entering the campus.

Only buses and student drivers will enter the third entrance where students with a registered parking sticker will park. No U-Turns are permitted on Palomino.  Officers will be on hand to help with traffic flow.

We ask that all parent drivers adhere to the direction of the traffic flow indicated by the orange arrows shown on the map.  When dropping off and picking up your student, please drop off in the student drop off zone.  Eliminate pulling into the visitors and handicap parking spaces.

Athletes who report before 6:00 a.m. may drop off near the athletic hallway in the back.  Students who have a need to work with the trainer may be dropped off at the swim door.  Students receiving trainer support must typically report between 6:00 – 6:30 a.m. to support time of rehab before the school days begins.

Students are not to be dropped off between parking lanes or to any other doors at Clear Springs High School.  

All students are to wait in the cafeteria prior to the morning dismissal bell. Students with the program sticker (i.e. band, athletics) on their ID badge, should enter through either the Student Drop Off zone, or from their bus drop off zone. Students with the program sticker on their ID are asked to show their ID in the monitored hall areas, and through the athletic doors in order to put away their instruments/athletic materials in the morning.

In the event of inclement weather and a number of cars backed up, we will admit the student without a tardy pass.
