This Week @ Clear Springs

Good Evening Clear Springs Families,

The 2018 Homecoming week was an amazing success and I want to thank all of our students, staff, booster clubs, and parents that helped to make it a great experience for the entire campus and community.  Here are a few announcements about this week at Clear Springs.

NO School on Monday & New 9 Weeks

Please be aware that students do not have school on Monday, October 15th.  When they return to school on Tuesday we will be starting the new nine week grading term and all class grades will start over. Grades for the first nine weeks will be finalized Tuesday afternoon and official report cards will go out this Thursday.

Senior Information Meeting on Wednesday

Attention Families of Graduating Seniors: This Wednesday, October 17th we will have our first senior informational at 6:30pm. Please join us in the Cafeteria to learn more about the college application process, scholarships, and how to use Naviance.

Class Ring Ceremony for Juniors – Wednesday, Oct. 24th

Do you have a 11th grade student who is getting their class ring?  If so make sure you sign up for the Class Ring Ceremony that will be held on Wednesday, October 24th at 7:00p.m.  Students can sign up online or can pick up a form from any pod secretary.  Students sign up by this Wednesday to be included.

AMC (American Mathematics Competition)

The AMC 10/12 is a mathematics test that provides an opportunity for high school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers. The AMC 10/12 is the first in a series of competitions that eventually lead all the way to the International Mathematical Olympiad.  For more information regarding the AMC Exam and its benefits, please review the overview at   https://www.maa.org/math-competitions/amc-1012.  If your student is interested in participating in the AMC 10/12 on February 13, 2019, please contact Ms. Soper at csoper@ccisd.net or 281 284-1391

Congratulations to our Boys’ Cross Country Team who won district this past Thursday and will be going to Regionals to compete for a spot at the state meet.  We also had a great TEDx event at Clear Springs this past Saturday.  This event was coordinated and ran by students and was a huge success. Video clips of the presentations will be posted to the TED website.  As always thank you for continuing to support our campus and our students.  Have a GREAT week!
